International organisation willing to invest in Moldova

Chisinau, 15 August /MOLDPRES/ – An international organisation expressed interest in developing joint projects in tourism, IT, automotive, and export of Moldovan meat to Israel. The topic was discussed today at a meeting between Minister of Economy and Infrastructure Chiril Gaburici and representatives of organisation.

According to the ministry, the representatives of the international organisation WJC (Diplomatic Forum of Jewish People) praised the positive results recorded in these areas and showed willingness to invest in Moldova. The businessmen said they analyzed the investment opportunities offered by Moldova, and are willing to launch tourism development projects that will lead to economic growth of Moldova.

"We have young, attractive niches for investors, such as IT, automotive, tourism, which grow rapidly and record very good results. We aim to bring international companies to Moldova," Gaburici said. He also informed the investors about facilities offered by free economic zones and industrial parks.

"We rely on close collaboration with the Moldovan authorities so that the Jewish History Museum helps develop tourism, along with the promotion of culture and history. We will also support the IT sector in Moldova by facilitating dialogue with the most representative Jewish IT companies ", WJC deputy head Robert Singer said.

Also, the representatives were interested in exporting meat from Moldova. Gaburici said that a working group was set up in this regard, so that by 2019 Moldova will meet all requirements set by EU to have the right to export meat and class B poultry eggs to EU countries. "Our country is interested in importing meat from Moldova. Once you meet the requirements set by EU, we assure you that meat export to Israel will increase," they said.

More and more foreign companies, such as Fujikura, Draxlmaier chose to invest in Moldova, valuing the business environment as competitive and attractive, the press release of the ministry said.
