Chisinau, 16 August /MOLDPRES/ – Two economic attachés were appointed within Commercial and economic office (BCE) of Moldovan diplomatic mission in Russia. On this occasion, Minister of Economy and Infrastructure, Chiril Gaburici, convened a meeting with Moldovan economic agents exporting their products to Russia as well as to states of Eurasian Union (EU).
Chiril Gaburici stated that he wanted the economic attachés to help the local economic agents in establishing and maintaining contacts with existing investors as well as potential importers. "Their basic aim is to protect the rights of local economic agents and provide necessary assistance for promotion of Moldovan products, brands and services with export potential on the market of Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan. I urge entrepreneurs to come up with proposals to overcome barriers they encounter in export process," said Chiril Gaburici.
The business representatives referred upon some of difficulties they encountered. According to the MEI's information and media communication service, among these are bureaucratic barriers, non – recognition of certificates, tariffs and local regulatory mechanisms. The entrepreneurs asked economic attachés to identify economic events (fairs, exhibitions, forums) organised in Russia and accreditation states by cumulation that would be of interest from the point of view of promoting Moldovan products.
Recently, Government approved amendments and additions to Regulation on BCEs within diplomatic missions and consular offices of Moldova, in order to make their activity more efficient in promoting economic interests of Moldova, contributing to development of commercial and economic relations by attracting investments and promoting trade.
