Customs Service, National Wine and Wine Office to collaborate to increase Moldovan wines' competitiveness

Chisinau, 17 August /MOLDPRES/- The Customs Service and the National Vine and Wine Office (ONVV) will work together to enhance the competitiveness of wines from Moldova. This will be possible under an Agreement and a Memorandum signed by the leadership of the two institutions.
According to a press release of the Customs Service, the agreement stipulates that the two institutions will provide free of charge mutual access to data held in information systems. This will simplify certifying the origin of the products, saving time of the economic agents.
At the same time, the goals of the Memorandum are fraud prevention and detection of counterfeit products, the enforcement of the legislation in the field and the automation of the services provided to the business environment.
ONVV Director Gheorghe Arpentin praised the willingness of the Customs Service to have a better interaction in promoting domestic products on foreign markets.
Customs Director Vitalie Vrabie stressed the importance of this sector for the development of foreign trade relations, which is why Customs is willing to take all necessary measures to ensure the competitiveness of Moldovan wines.
