Day care centres for children up to three years old to be created in Moldova

Chisinau, 17 August /MOLDPRES/ – There will be created day care centres for children under the age of three in Moldova. This is stipulated within Framework – regulation on organisation and functioning of social service "Day care centre for children aged 4 months – 3 years", which was published today in the Official Journal.
The centres will be created in communities by local public authorities (APL) and binge able to accommodate up to 12 children. The service will be set up to prevent family separation, marginalisation, social exclusion and its institutionalisation.
The children will be admitted to Centre at request of a parent or person in whose care they are. The children will benefit from nutrition, life skills, and behavioural skills development.
According to the MSMPS's information and media communication service, since 2011, this service has been developed and piloted in Chisinau, Balti municipalities and Glodeni city, where there have been established six similar Centres. These are intended for solitary mothers and families in crisis.
