Chisinau hosts meeting of working groups for development of transport, road infrastructure

Chisinau, 17 August /MOLDPRES/ – A new meeting of working groups for development of transport and road infrastructure with participation of representatives of international partners in negotiation format 5+2 took place today at the headquarters in Chisinau of the OSCE Mission to Moldova, the office for reintegration policy’s information and media communication service has reported.
The Delegation from Chisinau was led by State Secretary of the Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure (MEI), Serghei Bucataru.
The meeting subject was the issue of registration of technical testing stations in the Transnistrian region within competent authorities of Moldova and their subsequent activity for provision of services for categories of motor vehicles regulated by protocol decision from 24 April 2018 and it is set to get registration plates and neutral model certificates to participate in international road traffic.
During the talks, it was mentioned that dthere were determined five stations to handle this procedure, the heads of which attended training courses organised by representatives of the National Automobile Transport Agency (ANTA).
In perspectives, the nominated stations are to obtain from technical activity authorisations of ANTA for motor vehicles.
It is expected a further meeting of sectoral working groups to be held during upcoming week to continue discussions on subject of technical testing stations as well as ensure the functionality of registration points for the means of transport in Rabnita and Tiraspol cities.
