Over 350 persons suffer from acute diarrheal diseases in recent week in Chisinau

Chisinau, 20 August /MOLDPRES/ – Over 350 persons from Chisinau, including 249 children, were hospitalised with acute diarrheal diseases last week. The announcement was made by the interim head of the Social Assistance and Healthcare Directorate, Carolina Olaru, in the weekly meeting of the Chisinau City Hall today.

According to the cited source, "totally, there have been hospitalized 289 persons, which accounts for over 83 per cent of patients."

Also, the healthcare chief announced that, due to hiccup, about 2,400 people have asked for medical help at the points of triage in public medical and sanitary institutions in the capital, and about 1,000 other people have requested help at rehabilitation points in Chisinau.

Similarly, the authorities announced that in the public transportation in Chisinau, people can ask for drinking water during the peak period.
