Budget sector employees to have holiday of nine days in late August in Moldova

Chisinau, 20 August /MOLDPRES/ – The budget sector employees will have a holiday of 9 days in the late August. The Government has taken the decision on it today. Thus, 28, 29 and 30 August will be days – off.

According to a draft prepared by the Ministry of Healthcare, Labour and Social Protection (MSMPS), as 27 and 31 of August are declared non – working days, it is considered appropriate to consider days 28, 29 and 30 August as the days of rest.

According to the document, the days – off are due to be recovered by public employees on Saturdays 08 and 29 September, as well as 20 October, which will be declared working days.

The draft decision was set at the request of the National Confederation of Trade Unions (CNSM), with the aim of organising optimal working and rest time in August.

The Labour Code states that the Government is entitled to transfer working days to other days for optimal use by employees of rest and non – working holidays.
