Moldovan cabinet approves draft of public-private partnership contract

Chisinau, 20 August /MOLDPRES/- The draft of the public-private partnership contract on design and construction of the multi-purpose arena of national interest "Arena Chisinau" was approved by the government today. The private partner selection contest took place on 5 May - 4 July, after which the contractual conditions were negotiated by the parties, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.

Under the document, the private partner is committed to carry out design and construction work on the multi-purpose arena, including furnishing, installation of accessories and equipment, road construction, utilities connection and other infrastructure activities.

The "Arena Chisinau" project involves the construction of a functional arena with a capacity of 3 to 5 thousand people. The Arena will host various events, such as sports, congresses and concerts. The project will be based on a public-private partnership, and the period required for the construction and putting into operation of the arena is about one year.
