Heavy rains affected more farmland, road sections

Chisinau, 21 August /MOLDPRES/- Several farmland and local road sections were damaged by heavy rains in the last two days.

According to the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations, following heavy rainfall, several road sections were destroyed in Cantemir. Thus, almost 5.2 km of road was damaged in Cania and in the village of Cârpeşti - 0.3 km.

At the same time, due to adverse weather conditions, more farmland and private households were affected.

Also, in the north of the country, in Chişcăreni village, Sîngerei district, the rain affected 1.2 ha of vineyards. In the same locality, about 20 sheets of slate and 48 m2 of metal tiles on the roof of three houses were snatched and damaged by wind gusts.

The territorial emergency commissions will assess the recorded damages.

For the next few days, meteorologists forecast variable sky with no rain.
