Placement of procurement announcements in MTender system generates savings of over MDL 04 million

Chisinau, 21 August /MOLDPRES/ – The amount of savings achieved throughout placement of procurement announcements in MTender system, which includes the electronic acquisition platform achizitii.md, has doubled in recent two months. Thus, if, in May 2018, the obtained savings exceeded the amount of MDL 02 million, the state and private institutions performing online purchases have now saved a total of over MDL 04 million 200 thousand.

According to a press release, saving of over MDL 04 million was obtained through 1,838 announced acquisitions placed within system of public and private digital procurement by 455 contracting parties.

The new system allows economic agents from different fields to register on purchases.md and participate in auctions in which they purchase products or services that they provide. On platform, there can be found ads on purchasing various goods or services, as well as different types of works.

The Parliament has recently adopted amendments to the law on public procurement. These include introduction of DUAE concept, Single European Procurement Document, provided in electronic format. Another amendment concerns the introduction of new concepts in procurement award criteria, or lowest price, lowest cost, best value of quality – price and best value quality – cost. The project will enter into force on 01 October 2018.
