Procedure for registration of agricultural land rent contracts to be simplified in Moldova

Chisinau, 21 August /MOLDPRES/ – The procedure for registration of agricultural land rent contracts will be simplified. The decision was taken at the meeting of Cabinet of Ministers on 20 August.

According to the approved modifications, the rent of land and other agricultural goods concluded for up to 5 years will be registered at the Mayor's office of the locality in which territory the goods are located. Also, the rent contracts for over 5 years will be registered at the territorial cadastral office.

The State Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture, Regional Development and Environment, Iurie Usurelu, stated at the Government meeting that the initiative would accelerate consolidation of agricultural land and reduce costs of registering rent agreements.

The decision approved by Government will come into force on the date of its publication.
