Eight political parties do not report on financial management in Moldova

Chisinau, 21 August /MOLDPRES/ – Eight political parties did not submit the financial management reports for the first half of 2018. The Central Electoral Commission (CEC) has made this announcement at its meeting today.  

According to the CEC's information and media communication service, the deadline for submission of half – year reports to the Commission was 16 July. Totally, a number of 46 political parties were required to submit info on financial management, out of which 33 political parties submitted their financial reports within deadline, while five over deadline set by legislation.

As a result of the findings, the Commission initiated the contravention procedure with regard to the persons in charge of the parties which did not observe the legal term: the Action and Solidarity Party (PAS), Russian – Slavic Party of Moldova (PRSM), European People's Party of Moldova (PPEM), Social – Political Movement of Roma in Moldova (MSPRM) and Conservative Party (PC).

Also, it was initiated the contravention procedure in respect of persons with responsibility of the parties which did not submit the half – year report: the Democracy at Home (DA), Socialist Party of Moldova (PSRM), Political Party New Historical Option (PPNOI), Political Party Salvation Front of Moldova (PPFSM), Political Party for Union of Moldova (PPUM), Social-Political Movement New Force (MSPFN), Republican Party of Moldova (PRM), Political Party the Renascence Party (PPPR).

Also today, CEC approved the appointment of councilor mandates in the local councils of more localities.
