Programme of events dedicated to Independence Day of Moldova

Chisinau, 22 August /MOLDPRES/ – The 27 years of Independence of Moldova will be marked on 27 August 2018 by means of a series of cultural and artistic events organised jointly in Chisinau and districts of the country, the government's communication and protocol department has reported.
The feast will start, traditionally, with laying flowers at monument Maica Indurerata (Mother in grief) (08:30) and at monument of Stefan cel Mare si Sfant (Stephen the Great and Holy) (09:30).
In square of the National Theatre of Opera and Ballet Maria Biesu, at 10:00, it will start the Parade of the National Costume, where it will be presented variety of folk costume. The feast will go to the National Palace.
Starting 11:00, National Palace Nicolae Sulac will host the festive concert dedicated to the National Holiday – The Independence Day of Moldova.
On stage, there will perform artistic collectives –National Folk Music Orchestra Lautarii, Dance Ensemble Fluieras, ensemble Concertino Orchestras, Teleradio Moldova National Symphony Orchestra, Choir Academic Chapel Doina, Presidential Orchestra and folk collectives from the districts of Moldova.
The contemporary Moldovan artists will also be performing – Master Eugen Doga, Master Nicolae Botgros, Constantin Moscovici, Mariana Bulicanu, Ioana Capraru, Ion Paladi, Nelly Ciobanu, Natalia Gordienco, Cristofor Aldea – Teodorovici, Natalia Barbu, and Marcel Pavel, Paula Seling, Ionut Dolanescu, Andrei Jilihovschi, as well as young talents from Moldova.
