New trolley route to connect Chisinau, Stauceni

Chisinau, 23 August /MOLDPRES/- Five trolleys with autonomous propulsion and air conditioning will be put into circulation in early September on a new trolleybus route that will connect Chisinau and Stauceni. The trolleybus No32 will operate on this route.

Acting director of Regia Transport Electric Chişinău Dorin Ciornâi said that the five trolleybuses have been already assembled in Chisinau.

Video footage has been published on the official website of Stăuceni mayoralty, showing that the planning works and the installation of road signs began in this regard.

The exact route of the trolleybus has not yet been established, the final version is to be approved by the authorities.

At the same time, the RTEC leadership noted that 15 trolleybuses will be brought and assembled in Chisinau in September, October and November, of which ten will be autonomous. Subsequently, the local authorities will decide to which municipalities in the city will be opened new trolleybus routes.

Currently, RTEC has 360 trolleybuses, of which 222 are new.
