National security service detects imposing lots of ammunition, explosive substances in Moldova

Chisinau, 23 August /MOLDPRES/ – The employees of the Intelligence and Security Service (SIS) have identified imposing lots of ammunition and explosives in more localities of Moldova.

Thus, the intelligence officers, in cooperation with representatives of law enforcement agencies, raised over 31 thousand bullets of different caliber, 19 grenades of different models, 21 TNT (trotyl) blocks, 12 weapon chargers, 17 strips for bullets, 2 landmines, and 4 detonating staples.

The most explosive devices and ammunition were discovered in Ocnita district. Also, there were raised 5 trotyl blocks within actions initiated in Criuleni district.

Another case of keeping firearms and ammunition was discovered in Vulcanesti district, Gagauzia.

Currently, the SIS officers, together with representatives of law enforcement agencies, investigate all cases so as to elucidate all circumstances and identify the involved persons.
