Chisinau, 23 August /MOLDPRES/ – The authorities are searching for new technologies to keep national and local roads during cold season. The subject was analised today at a meeting between Minister of Economy and Infrastructure, Chiril Gaburici, and representatives of a Romanian company.
According to the MEI's information and media communication service, the head of the Romanian company, Ion Neculce, made a presentation of manufactured materials used for construction and maintenance of roads. These ones include anti – skid and road marking and reflective paints.
"The solution used for snow removal does not penetrate into concrete or asphalt and thus does not damage it. The product also resists – 60ºC and it is cheaper than salt and sand, as it is applied 20 grammes per 1 m2," specified Ion Neculce.
The Minister of Economy and Infrastructure mentioned that tests for quality analysis should be carried out preventively, but also to calculate costs. It is also needed to examine the technique with which the product application works are performed and their compatibility with roads in Moldova.
"We have to evaluate costs and test product quality, compatibility with the structure of concrete and asphalt roads in all areas of the country. We also want to analise the side effects compared to the use of salt and sand," said Chiril Gaburici.
The company has activated on the Romanian and international markets over 20 years.
