Chisinau, 24 August /MOLDPRES/- People who work or have worked after retirement may request review of the pension from 1 January 2019, according to legislative amendments that were published in the Official Journal of Moldova today.
Thus, retired persons who work or have worked after the retirement may require a one-time review of pension, provided that the amount of pension is higher than the one in charge.
According to the provisions, from 1 January 2019, the pensions set before 1 January 1999 will be re-examined, with the contribution period after the right to retirement of 15 years. From 1 January 2020 - those established until 1 January 1999, with the contribution period up to 15 years. Subsequently, from 1 January 2021, the pensions set after 1 January 1999 until 1 January 2019 will be re-examined, with contribution period of 15 years.
In the following years, the term of post-pension contribution will decrease annually by three years.
The number of pensioners who would benefit from pension re-examination in 2019 is estimated at about 2,500 and spending over 84 million lei. The number of re-examined pensions and expenditures will reach 130 thousand in 2027 and 133 million lei respectively.
