Persons violating legislation on meal vouchers to be fined in Moldova

Chisinau, 24 August /MOLDPRES/ – The persons which admit violations of the legislation on meal vouchers will be sanctioned under the Contravention Code. The law stipulating it was published today in the Official Journal.

According to law, the sale or transfer of the meal vouchers by individuals to other persons will be sanctioned with a fine of up to MDL 5,000.

Also, the commercial units selling tobacco products, alcoholic beverages or other non – alimentary products than established by law for meal vouchers will receive fines of up to MDL 15,000.

The fines will be even higher for employers who will lower the calculated wages of meal vouchers covered by labour contracts. They will be fined up to MDL 50,000.

The nominal value of a meal voucher is MDL 45. They can be released both on paper and electronically.
