Chisinau, 24 August /MOLDPRES/ – There were discussed today the existing issues and solutions for facilitating the activity in IT sector at the meeting of Prime Minister Pavel Filip with representatives of resident companies Moldova IT Park, the government's communication and protocol department has reported.
These ones reported deficiencies in the application of tax incentives, noting that, in addition to the single tax of 07 per cent, they also had to pay additional taxes. The PM expressed his dissatisfaction by situation and asked the bodies in charge to solve the problem: "I am worried that we agreed one thing and now I see absolutely different situation. I can not understand why we have a ministry, a minister, a state secretary and a manager of the park? If you can not do the job, do not do it anymore. I want a clarification today – to see absolutely all the existing shortcomings".
Among other difficulties, the representatives of companies pointed out the unsatisfactory training of staff at IT faculties, exodus of people, unsatisfactory insurance with social payments of employees. IT companies have also made proposals to improve activities of the park, including sharing experience with administrations of foreign companies and access to international payment platforms.
PM Pavel Filip assured IT park residents all the support of Government in overcoming the issues, and in order to no longer admit deviations from the established terms of activity, there will be set periodic meetings. "For me, IT sector is a special one to which I am very much involved, and I will continue to pursue these IT companies to grow. I strongly believe that for Moldova the IT field is a perspective one. Being a small country, we do not have to create only work arms, we need to create brains for high – value industries," said Pavel Filip.
