Deputy premier has meeting with head of NATO Liaison Office in Moldova

Chisinau, 25 August /MOLDPRES/ – Deputy Prime Minister, Cristina Lesnic, had a meeting with the head of the NATO Liaison Office in Moldova, Kristina Baleisyte, on 24 August.
According to the office for reintegration policy’s information and media communication service, the meeting had an informative character, while both sides setting priorities for cooperation within short and medium period.
The main approached issue stands for realisation of the National Programme for implementation of UN Security Council Resolution 1325 on women, peace and security for 2018 – 2021 and the Action Plan of its application. In this respect, the deputy PM noted the efforts made by the Government on it, but also mentioned the objectives in upcoming perspectives, among which being the increase of the national and international presence of military women within peacekeeping missions, as well as integration on criterion of professionalism of as many female representatives on leadership positions of force structures in Moldova.
Cristina Lesnic also specified it to be a favourable fact the continued increase of mass media impact of issues regarding Resolution 1325 and that the results for its implementation being clearly enhanced.
Finally, the parties noted the need to continue joint efforts, specifying that it would be taken actions in perspectives as to improve it and raise public awareness on it.
