Moldova marks 27 years of Independence

Chisinau, 27 August /MOLDPRES/ – The Republic of Moldova marks today the 27th anniversary from the proclamation of Independence, voted by Parliament on 27 August 1991.
The feast has traditionally begun with laying flowers at monument Mother in grief and at monument of Stephen the Great and the Holy.
There will take place the Parade of Folk Costume in the square of the National Opera and Ballet Theatre Maria Biesu, where it will be presented the variety of the national folk costume. Later on, at the National Palace Nicolae Sulac, it will take place the festive concert dedicated to the National Holiday: The Independence Day of Moldova.
There will perform more artistic groups on stage: National Music Orchestra Lautarii, Dance Ensemble Fluieras, Concertino Arrangement Ensemble, Teleradio Moldova National Symphony Orchestra, Doina Coral Academic Chapel, Presidential Orchestra and some more folk groups from the districts of Moldova.
There will also perform some consecrated local artists: Master Eugen Doga, Master Nicolae Botgros, Constantin Moscovici, Mariana Bulicanu, Ioana Caprau, Ion Paladi, Nelly Ciobanu, Natalia Gordienco, Cristofor Aldea – Teodorovici, Natalia Barbu, Marcel Pavel, Paula Seling, Ionut Dolanescu, Andrei Jilihovschi, as well as young talents from Moldova.
The events dedicated to Independence Day are taking place today in all cities and towns of Moldova.
