Deputy premier attends events on 27th anniversary of Moldova's Independence

Chisinau, 28 August /MOLDPRES/- Deputy Prime Minister Cristina Lesnic attended the events celebrating 27 years since the proclamation of the Independence of the Republic of Moldova on Monday. Lesnic, along with the country's leadership laid flowers at the monument „Maica Îndurerată" and at the monument of the ruler Stefan cel Mare, the Bureau for Reintegration has reported.
The Independence Day was marked yesterday through a series of cultural and artistic events organized simultaneously in Chisinau and the country's districts.
The Declaration of Independence of the Republic of Moldova was adopted by Parliament on 27 August 1991.
