Minibus with eight Moldovan citizens involved in accident in Romania

Chisinau, 30 August /MOLDPRES/ – A minibus with eight Moldovan citizens was hit by a train on a railroad crossing, near county Vaslui, Romania. Two persons were hospitalised with various injuries, and another six – refused hospitalisation.
According to the IGSU’s information and media communication service, the accident occurred on 29 August night.
The minibus was hit by train Inter – Regio Iasi – Mangalia, in Rosiesti railroad station. The accident occurred at a railway crossing which was signaled. The Romanian press writes that "the minibus driver might not have stopped at the railroad crossing."
The competent authorities are investigating all circumstances of the accident.
