Average monthly salary increases by 13 per cent in second quarter of 2018 in Moldova

Chisinau, 30 August /MOLDPRES/ – In the second quarter of 2018, the average nominal monthly gross wage reached MDL 6,369.8. It has grown by 13 per cent compared to the same period of 2017.

According to data from the BNS's information and media communication service, the average monthly earnings amounted to MDL 5,569.3 in the second quarter of 2018, by 13.1 per cent more than in the second quarter of 2017. Also, in the (real) economic sector it increased by 12.7 per cent and reached MDL 6,679.6.

The real earnings index for the second quarter of 2018, compared to the second quarter of 2017 (calculated as a ratio between the gross nominal earnings index and the consumer price index), was 109.5 per cent, or in increase of 9.5 per cent compared to the level of 2017.
