12 people died after helicopter of Moldovan company collapsed in Afghanistan

Chisinau, 3 September /MOLDPRES/- 12 people have died after a helicopter of a Moldovan company collapsed in Afghanistan. The tragedy occurred on 2 September 2018.
According to information from the Moldovan Civil Aviation Authority, the MI-8 MTV helicopter with the ER-MHR registration number of the airline Valan International Cargo Charter collapsed shortly after taking off from the military air base in Mazar-i-Sharif.
On board there were three crew members and 11 citizens of Afghanistan. According to preliminary information, two crew members and 10 passengers died as a result of the accident.
The Civil Aviation Authority of the Republic of Moldova did not specify the fate of the other two passengers on board.
The competent authorities investigate the case to determine all the circumstances of the accident.
