Over 300 persons purchase dwelling under programme First Home in Moldova

Chisinau, 03 September /MOLDPRES/ – Over 300 mortgages worth MDL 120 million were granted under Programme First Home, from its launch until 17 August. The data were presented by the State Secretary of the Ministry of Finance, Ion Chicu, during a television broadcast.

Out of 300 loans, forty were accessed by budget sector employees, and another 50 were for families with children. The value of the purchased dwellings under the program exceeded MDL 140 million. Most homes were purchased in Chisinau.

"Currently, we have 25 – 30 loans per week. By the end of 2018, the number of appropriations allocated under the programme will be around one thousand, which is not the least. I think that at least five or seven thousand families could access these loans and buy their dwelling each year," said Chicu.

Programme First Home was launched in late March 2018. It provides special facilities for budgets and families with many children.
