New outbreaks of swine fever detected in south of Moldova

Chisinau, 03 September /MOLDPRES/ – The new cases of African swine fever have been confirmed by the Republican Centre for Veterinary Diagnostics (CRDV) on 27 and 29 August in domestic pigs in villages Crocmaz and Olanesti, Stefan Voda district and Giurgiulesti village, Cahul district.
According to the National Food Safety Agency's information and media communication service, the Anti-Epidemiological Commissions (CAE) in Stefan Voda and Cahul have approved the Comprehensive plan of measures to combat and eradicate outbreaks.
The epidemiological surveys were carried out by the teams of inspectors of the territorial food safety subdivisions Stefan Voda and Cahul.
In the context of the outbreak of African swine fever, the ANSA monitors the epizootic situation and reminds the owners of pigs not to feed animals with food debris, not to let them go free and change their clothes before entering the animal shelters.
