Three hundred twenty two families, young persons purchase dwelling under programme First Home in Moldova

Chisinau, 03 September /MOLDPRES/ – The amount of 234 families and 88 unmarried young persons have purchased dwellings under programme First Home in less than half a year since its launch, the government's communication and protocol department has reported.

Throughout the five banks participating in the programme, loans amounting to over MDL 148 million were offered and the amount of guarantees offered by the state is almost MDL 74 million.

Up till now, there have been submitted 46 applications under programme First Home 2, of which 21 are under funding. Another 50 applications were filed for First House 3, 29 of which are under funding.

The surface of a purchased apartment is on average 58 m2, with a value of about MDL 543 thousand. The cost of housing can not exceed MDL 1,000,000.

The programme provides facilities for families with children. The state covers 10 per cent of the apartment price for families with one child, 25 per cent – for families with two children, 50 per cent – for families with three children, and for those with 4 and more children, the state will pay the entire amount, the family paying just interest.

Also, starting with 03 August 2018, families with children may claim state compensation, with MDL 20 million allocated for this purpose.
