11 kindergartens in Chisinau temporarily ceased activity

Chisinau, 5 September /MOLDPRES/- Eleven early education institutions in the capital stopped their activity temporarily. Three of them cannot work due to lack of cooks, and the repair works continue in other 8 kindergartens.

Thus, of the 160 kindergartens in Chisinau, only 149 work with 34,509 children.

In the early education institutions in Chisinau, 382 educators, 275 assistant educators and nurses, 60 chefs and 41 dishwashers are required. So far, only 31 teachers have agreed to engage in kindergartens.

At the same time, according to preliminary data, about 88,000 pupils study in the 145 municipal primary and secondary education institutions.

According to Chisinau city hall, 1,340 pupils have gone abroad since the beginning of 2018. About 200 of them have returned home, municipal authorities say.
