Sixty Moldovan servicemen participate in multinational exercise in Romania

Chisinau, 5 September /MOLDPRES/ - About 60 officers and non-commissioned officers of the National Army participate in the multinational exercise Platinum Eagle 2018, held at the Babadag training centre from Romania on 27 August – 9 September.
The commander of the contingent, Vladislav Draguta, has said that the goal of the drills was to enhance the inter-operability and joint training of servicemen from the participating countries for peacekeeping operations.
Draguta added that the Moldovan military, within the exercise, carried out missions of providing the first aid in zones off operations and trained for procedures of command and control at the level of sub-unit.
According to Vladislav Draguta, this year, the National Army takes part in Platinum Eagle 2018 also with 14 technology units of the type HMMWV; Moldovan military train along with the ones from Romania, Bulgaria, Ukraine and the United States.
The trainings from Babadag are part of a comprehensive multinational exercise titled Black Sea Rotational Force 18, held twice a year.
