Moldovan government to additionally earmark 2.8 million lei for nourishment of pupils from vocational schools

Chisinau, 5 September /MOLDPRES/ - The financial norms allocated for the free of charge nourishment of pupils from the vocational education institutions were increased by two lei per one pupil for one day starting from 1 September 2018, under a cabinet decision approved today.

According to the government’s communication and protocol department, the document sees the increase of the sum allocated for pupils’ nourishment from 10 to 12 lei per day. As much as 2.8 million will be additionally earmarked to this end.

More than 16,500 pupils are nourished in the vocational education institutions. About 24 million lei is provided for in the budget for this year on this purpose.

The cabinet has earlier increased by two lei the sum allocated for the nourishment of pupils and children in schools and kindergartens. About one billion lei was earmarked from the budget to this end.
