Moldovan government to more strictly monitor work of leisure camps

Chisinau, 5 September /MOLDPRES/ - Prime Minister Pavel Filip has instructed the creation of an inter-sectoral working group for the elaboration of a new concept on the organization and carrying out of the entertainment and educational activities in leisure camps, after more cases of intoxications, infections, as well as violence against children were discovered in Moldovan leisure camps.  The cabinet of ministers today approved the establishment of this working group.  

According to the government’s communication and protocol department, the working group will include specialists in the fields of education, health, public order and social protection. Experts will analyze the present situation in the sector and will identify solutions for the prevention or irregularities and infringements in the work of leisure camps. At the same time, the concerned normative framework will be improved.  

During one month, the working group is to submit to the government the new concept on the organization of the activities of the leisure camps for children, including the way of the camps’ inter-sectoral organization.
