Moldovan government supports initiatives to promote ethno – cultural heritage

Chisinau, 05 September /MOLDPRES/ – The promotion of traditions, ethno-cultural patrimony and tourist image of Moldova, as well as identification of cooperation guidelines between the Government and the Vatra Cultural Centre (CCV), were discussed today at a meeting between Premier Pavel Filip and President of CCV, Nicolae Avram.
According to the government’s communication and protocol department, the discussions focused on extending the list of cultural events with participation of more states, thus increasing the flow of foreign visitors and promoting the image of Moldova. In this context, Prime Minister, Pavel Filip, emphasised the important role of culture in society and its valorisation throughout various events that promote intercultural dialogue.
The President of CCV made a retrospective of previous events and presented future projects. On 07 September, CCV will host a series of events in the Global Conference of Wine Tourism, 3rd issue. Pavel Filip appreciated the initiatives and projectsof CCV, expressing interest for an efficient collaboration between the central public authorities (APC) and CCV.
The CCV is an artistic management institution that promotes the artistic culture and thesaurus of Moldova. The institution organises events of local, national and regional importance for Moldova. The yearly events, known to public, include the Medieval Festival, Children's Carnival and Retro Festival.
