Border-crossing point from southern Moldova temporarily ceases working because of technical defects

Chisinau, 6 September /MOLDPRES/ - The Giurgiulesti-Galati border crossing point from southern Moldova has temporarily ceased working because of a technical blockage at the Information System of Moldova’s Border Police. The vehicles which intended to cross the border through this point are re-directed to the Cahul-Oancea customs checkpoint.

According to the Border Police’s press service, the defect was registered at about 14:00. Subsequently, a team of technicians went there to identify the reason of the loss of connection with the central database.

The quoted source also said that, at present, the flow of transport means was re-directed to the nearest border crossing point Cahul-Oancea. No high traffic values have been recorded so far, they work as normal.

The Border Police recommends that drivers consult the application TRAFIC ONLINE before setting out.
