Romanian National Theater Meeting held in Chisinau

Chisinau, 6 September /MOLDPRES/- Twelve theater groups from Moldova and Romania will participate in the fourth issue of the Romanian National Theater Meeting, which will take place in Chisinau on 19-30 September.

The event is organized by the Mihai Eminescu National Theater with the support of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research of Moldova, the Ministry of Culture and National Identity of Romania, the Romanian Cultural Institute and Mihai Eminescu Institute in Chisinau.

Director of the host institution Petru Hadârcă said that the fourth edition of the Romanian National Theater Meeting is dedicated to the Union's Centenary and will be inaugurated with the show"Carnavalul" by Ion Luca Caragiale directed by Visarion Alexa (Romania), presented in Chisinau.

The program also includes other artistic delights: radio shows in Bucharest and Chisinau, conferences, book launches, exhibitions, meetings with actors, etc.

The fourth edition of the National Theater Meeting will end on 30 September with the same show, “D-ale Carnavalului”, played by the Radu Stanca National Theater in Sibiu and staged by director Silviu Purcarete.

The first edition of the Romanian National Theater Meeting took place in 2014, and the initiator of the project was Petru Hadârcă.
