Chisinau, 7 September /MOLDPRES/ - Moldovan plums will be commercialized on the market of Canada. The Agriculture, Regional Development and Environment Ministry has been informed, in an official petition, that starting from 1 October 2018, the Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) would start the process of issuance of permits for the import of fresh Moldovan plums to Canada.
The national coordinator for plants’ protection at CFIA, Barbara Peterson, who signed the petition, said in the document that the process of technical revision of the Systemic Approach Programme at the export of plums from Moldova to Canada had been completed.
According to the Agriculture, Regional Development and Environment Ministry, the getting of access of fresh Moldovan plums on the Canadian sales market represents a success of the joint negotiations between the competent authorities from the two countries.
