Traffic Safety Town for Children inaugurated in north Moldova settlement

Chisinau, 8 September /MOLDPRES/ - A Traffic Safety Town for Children has been inaugurated in the northern Rezina town. In the town, small children will be able to learn traffic rules and the significance of the road signs.
At the opening of the town, about 200 children had possibility to participate in various interactive and education activities, during which they were trained on how to correctly cross the street, the traffic rules when bicycling or moving by scooters. They were also informed about the dangers they are exposed to, if they do not observe the traffic rules.
The town was endowed with all needed equipment, which symbolizes the crosswalk, road signs and streets with road signing, as well as information placards with key messages on traffic safety.
According to the General Police Inspectorate, the project was financed by the German government. The value of this project is over one million lei.
This is the second Traffic Safety Town inaugurated in Moldova. The first one was created in the western Ungheni city.
