National Army sappers neutralised 26 explosive devices in August

Chisinau, 10 September /MOLDPRES/- The National Army sappers neutralised 26 explosive devices found in localities from Căuşeni, Orhei, Călăraşi, Ştefan Vodă and Anenii Noi in August.

According to the head of engineering, Adrian Efros, the latest demining mission was conducted by the sappers of the Codru Battalion in Botanica sector of Chisinau, where some workers found 76 mm caliber artillery. The explosive object, which was during the World War II, was taken to Bulboaca polygon and was destroyed.

Another special operation took place in Leova district. Sappers have liquidated an aviation bomb of 100 kg.

Since the beginning of this year, military engineers have conducted 138 demining missions, in which 267 explosive devices were destroyed.
