Sales to broadband mobile Internet access market increased considerably

Chisinau, 10 September /MOLDPRES/- The sales figure on the broadband mobile Internet access market grew by 18 percent in the first half of this year compared to the same period of 2017, as a result of the strong increase in traffic and the number of users, according to data of the National Regulatory Agency for Electronic Communications and Information Technology (ANRCETI), released today.

ANRCETI's press service states that the number of users increased by 6.4 percent compared to the end of 2017 and the mobile Internet traffic (based on 3G, 4G technologies and dedicated access (via modems / cards / USB) increased by 31.1 per cent. Sales amounted to almost half a billion lei.

Over the last four years, the number of broadband internet users has doubled and reached about 2 million 584.8 thousand at the end of the first half of this year. ANRCETI data show that the penetration rate of broadband mobile Internet access services, per 100 inhabitants, increased by 4.4 percentage points to 72.8%.
