Chisinau, 11 September /MOLDPRES/ - Young people studying at the vocational school No 2 and Alexei Mateevici Pedagogical College from Chisinau might be employed as educators and cooks in kindergartens from the Moldovan capital. The municipal authorities hope that they could settle the problem of lack of staff in pre-school institutions in this way.
„The young people will be motivated by the fact that they would be employed, they will keep their scholarship and, at the same time, they will receive salary,” the head of the education, youth and sport general department at the Chisinau city hall, Rodica Gutu, has said.
According to Gutu, the salaries of the young specialists might reach 4,000 lei. Rodica Gutu also said that the positions of cooks were not attractive for young people, as the salaries are low and the volume of work – quite big.
At present, two kindergartens from Chisinau cannot work because of the lack of cooks and another five institutions are closed over the continuation of the repair works.
The Chisinau deputy mayor, Nistor Grozavu, suggested that the institutions providing the nourishment of children in lyceums supply food for children in the two institutions where cooks are lacking.
According to data by the Chisinau city hall, 382 educators, 275 assistants of educators and nurses, 60 cooks and 41 people washing plates and dishes are needed in the early education institutions from Chisinau. As many as 159 pre-school institutions with 37,942 children and 1,433 groups are working in the Moldovan capital.
