Seventy seven students, pupils to receive merit scholarships in Moldova

Chisinau, 12 September /MOLDPRES/ – Seventy seven students from higher education institutions and pupils from technical vocational education will receive merit scholarships for academic year 2018 – 2019. The Cabinet of Ministers has approved today the lists of candidates for granting these ones, the government's communication and protocol department has reported.  

During the year of study, there will be awarded 15 scholarships of the President of Moldova, out of which 10 scholarships for higher education students, worth MDL 1,320 each, and 5 scholarships of MDL 1025 for pupils in technical vocational education.

Twelve students from higher education institutions will benefit from the Scholarship of the Republic, the value of which is MDL 1,455. Thirty students will receive the Government Scholarship in the amount of MDL 1210 and twenty pupils of the technical vocational education institutions – Gaudeamus Scholarship, amounting up to MDL 880.

Also today, at initiative of Prime Minister, Pavel Filip, the Government decided to set up a working group for elaboration of a Unique Regulation for granting merit scholarships.
