Moldovan plastic artist, settled in Belgium, exhibits works in Chisinau

Chisinau, 12 September /MOLDPRES/ – It was varnished today a painting and graphics exhibition of plastic artist, Ion Chisca, settled in Belgium, at the National Art Museum (MNA) of Moldova.
The exhibition includes 41 works, conducted by the author over the years.
In his speech, director of institution, Tudor Zbarnea, moderator of the event, mentioned that this exhibition is part of a project for promotion of Moldovan artists staying abroad.
According to Tudor Zbarnea, Ion Chisca comes with a rigorous selection of works with a philosophical and symbolic content. "Each work has a strictly geometric and rigid configuration. It is an exhibition that presents the artist's complete discourse. We are delighted that the protagonist of the event is present at national exhibitions," said director of host museum.
Head of Moldovan Artists Union, Dumitru Bolboceanu, said that, established in Brussels, Ion Chisca joined the plastic arts in Belgium. "He is one of the authors which participates in all the international biennials in Chisinau. He promotes our artists in the European space. Ion Chisca is valued by the great plastic artists from the West," noted Dumitru Bolboceanu.
Attending the event, the plastic artist Ion Chisca thanked the leadership of the institution for the invitation to present his works in Chisinau. He promised that he would come with a new exhibition in the future.
Ion Chisca was born on 14 February 1964, in village Ruseni, Edinet district. He studied at the Republican Fine Arts School in Chisinău city (now Igor Vieru Academic High School of Fine Arts in Igor Vieru painter's class and 1983 – 1990 at the University of Fine Arts and Design in Tallinn, Estonia, and the master degree in Belgium.) In 1990 – 2000 he warked as a professor at the Academy of Music, Theatre and Fine Arts, and in 1990 became a member of the Moldovan Artists Union and since 1996 is a member of the International Association of Fine Arts (UNESCO). He has participated in the national and international exhibitions.
The exhibition is open until 30 September.
