Over 100 street commercial units evacuated in Chisinau

Chisinau, 13 September /MOLDPRES/ – Over 100 commercial street units have been dismantled from the centre of Chisinau since the beginning of 2018. In the next period, there will be evacuated another 15 booths and mobile units.

According to the Chisinau city hall's information and media communication service has reported, between January and August, Centru District Praetor issued 27 provisions regarding the demolition of illegal buildings, dismantling of some facilities blocking some access ways or advertising devices.

Previously, municipal authorities had announced that all booths that do not work or which operating authorisations expired, as well as billboards that expired licences, were to be dismantled and disposed of.

At the beginning of August, General Interim Mayor of Chisinau, Ruslan Codreanu, said that by the end of October all the trade units located in parks would be evacuated.

According to the press service of the Chisinau City Hall, at the beginning of 2018, there were over 3,000 booths in Chisinau, including those in markets.
