Supervision Committee of EU High Level Advisers Mission to Moldova 2016-2018 approves fifth progress report

Chisinau, 13 September /MOLDPRES/ - The European Union High Level Advisers Mission to Moldova 2016-2018 today assembled at the government, to analyze and approve the fifth report on progress of the project, Assistance for Implementation of EU High Level Advisers Mission, the government’s communication and protocol department has reported.
In the beginning of the meeting, Government’s Secretary General Lilia Palii congratulated the head of the Operation Section of the EU Delegation in Moldova, Marco Gemmer, on his new office. At the same time, Lilia Palii thanked for the close cooperation with the European Union Delegation in Moldova: “The valuable support and expertise represents a significant instrument for our authorities in the implementation of the reforms’ agenda.”
At the meeting, the project’s team head, Pavlos Kollias, made a retrospective of the activities carried out during the fifth semester. The discussions of the members of the Coordination Committee of the project, Assistance for Implementation of EU High Level Advisers Mission, continued on concrete recommendations, so that they efficiently contribute both to the carrying out of the Moldova-EU association agenda and to the reforms’ agenda of Moldova’s government.
Not in the least, the participants in the meeting set priorities for the final stage of the project’s implementation.
The EU High Level Advisers Mission – a project financed by the European Union, represents a team of 23 experts employed in Moldova with the main goal to provide support to Moldova’s government in the implementation of its reforms’ agenda, in particular, assistance to strengthen the capacities needed for implementing the Association Agreement, including the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area, as well as to ensure the actions of visa regime’s post-liberalization. Launched in January 2016, the project has a period of implementation of three years, till December 2018.
