Chisinau, 14 September /MOLDPRES/- The Moldovan delegation to the Joint Control Commission (JCC) chaired a meeting of the JCC, which was held on 13 September in Bender, the Bureau for Reintegration has reported.
At the proposal of the Chisinau Delegation, it was decided to release Lieutenant-Colonel Veaceslav Veste from military observer, whose job shift ended.
During the hearing of the Joint Military Command Report on situation in the Security Zone for 5-11 September 2018, the Moldovan delegation asked for explanations on the military mass actions organized on 7-9 September by the military structures of Tiraspol near Mereneşti locality, in the southern sector of the Security Zone.
About 500 military students, including minors, who under the guidance of the Transnistrian soldiers attended a training course with the use of military equipment, were involved in these actions.
In another context, the head of the Moldovan delegation pointed out that on 6 September 2018, the employees of the newly opened Public Service Agency subdivisions in Tiraspol and Ribnita were blocked at the so-called control stations installed illegally by the Transdniestrian power structures, by requiring their service cars, identity cards, as well as forms, stamps and other work requisites. Such incidents occurred simultaneously at the bridges over the Dnister river Gura Bâcului-Bacioc and Rezina-Râbniţa.
These events show once more the abuses committed by Tiraspol that violate the right to free movement in the Security Zone and represent a strong argument for promoting the concept of ensuring security and free movement in the Security Zone by the peacekeeping contingent jointly with police and so-called “militia”.
Discussions on the matter will be continued at the next JCC meeting scheduled for 20 September.
