Chisinau, 14 September /MOLDPRES/ – The distinguished composer, Eugen Doga, People's Artist, holder of Order of the Republic, has today performed a recital on the platform of Chisinau Railroad Station.

The master has performed some of his most famous pieces, to the excitement of the audience and passengers. Some travellers, which came to the train station earlier in the train, remained silent for a few minutes, enjoying the notes of the musical instrument. "It is phenomenal. I did not expect to see the master on the platform. "It is a very good idea. It is for the first time I have the opportunity to listen live the works of Eugen Doga. I was lucky to buy a ticket for today," said travellers.

On this occasion, administration of I.S. "Calea Ferata din Moldova" (The railroad of Moldova), organiser of the event, decorated the master with the highest distinction in railroad field – badge "Feroviar de onoare" (The honorable railman). "I have recourse to this minimal gesture of gratitude to Master Eugen Doga, the one who has honored our country all over the world. The order was issued by an international railroad community, at the proposal of the Moldovan Railroads. We were, first of all, guided by his support, openness and collaboration with our enterprise. The Master gave the company the right to use his songs in the country's train stations and trains, thus contributing to the enjoyment of our passengers," said CFO General Director, Iurie Topala.

Interviewed by agency, Eugen Doga said he was surprised by performance of children of the Railroad Culture Palace, who sang and danced on famous song Maria – Mirabela, written by him, on lyrics of poet Grigore Vieru. "It is not the easiest work, but it has been perfectly interpreted by these wonderful children. I hope they will become an example for others, too. I have never played in a train station. The place for such a recital was chosen perfectly. The train station is a gateway to the world. I am glad that I have the opportunity to be here. I thank the business manager because he takes care not only of "Railroads" but also of the people who use it, and I am one of them. The train is a safe transport. Every time I travel, I am welcomed here with a lot of warmth and care, and for that I thank them," said Master Eugen Doga. In 2018, he received from the Government of Moldova the right to circulate free of charge by train on any of existing routes.

On 28 – 29 August, Master Eugen Doga had a concert in Ankara city, Turkey, and on 26 September, he will perform in Bruxelles, Belgium.

Eugen Doga is the author of valuable works in the field of music, film and theatre. He composed a symphony, cantatas of "Primavara omenirii" (The spring of mankind) and "Curcubeul alb" (The white rainbow), music of theatre performances, over 200 films, chamber instrumental, romance, songs for children.
