Cultural centre of Moldova hosts international festival

Chisinau, 15 September /MOLDPRES/ – The International Festival Centenar Fest started today at the Cultural Centre Vatra. For two days at the event dedicated to the Centenary of the Great Union, there will be promoted Romanian culture and traditions. The entrance to premiere is free of charge.
"The Centenar Fest is about traditions and culture, about art and beauty, about friendship and relaxation. An international festival that promotes popular culture and customs in a dynamic and diverse way, transforming Complex Vatra for two days into a space where history will become a show," said organisers.
The event features artists, dancers, folk craftsmen and crafty cooks from both sides of the Prut. They aim to show the beauty, diversity and uniqueness of the customs of the Romanian people.
The performances take place concurrently on three stages located on territory of complex. The event organisers prepared a parade of folk garment, a fair – exhibition with works of folk craftsmen with handicrafts, as well as a museum of the Romanian village as to highlight the specificity of all the Romanian regions.
The visitors can enjoy an exceptional concert, performed by famous artists such as Grigore Lese, Nicolae Furdui Iancu, Sisters Osoianu, Tudor Ungureanu and ensemble Stefan Voda, Fuego, Irina Loghin, Benone Sinulescu, Nicu Mata, Cristofor Aldea Teodorovici Band, Lupii and Alex Calancea Band, Gandul Matei, Moldovan National Youth Orchestra, Muntenia Symphony Orchestra and Florin Georgescu.
The festival culminates on Sunday, 16 September, by fireworks.
