Sixty Moldovan producers to take part in National Wine Day

Chisinau, 16 September /MOLDPRES/ – Over 60 local wine producers from regions with Protected Geographical Indication (IGP) will participate in the National Wine Day (ZNV), 17th issue. The event will take place under the generic: "Vin din sufletul Moldovei" (Wine from the soul of Moldova), on 06 – 07 October, the government's communication and protocol department has reported.
For the first time, the feast will expand its geographical area and also take place in Snagov, Romania, where 20 winemakers from Moldova will unite under a country brand. Also, there will participate some wine producers in Romania in presentations organised in Chisinau, within a specially designed stand.
For two days in Chisinau, there will be organised exhibition stands of wine producers, fair of the craftsmen, wine school, a painting area, an area devoted to public catering, wine tours, as well as improvised peasant courts. The holiday atmosphere will be complemented by an ample artistic programme.
Earlier, PM Pavel Filip asked the Ministry of Agriculture, Regional Development and Environment (MADRM) and National Office of Vine and Wine (ONVV) to publish as soon as possible the agenda of ZNV demonstrations to make the most of the opportunities offered by it. The PM has specified that this holiday is a good chance to promote Moldova as a wine tourism destination.
In 2017, the ZNV brought together 47 native producers and attracted many foreign tourists.
