AIPA launched second stage of receiving applications for subsidies in advance

Chisinau, 17 September /MOLDPRES/- Young people and women who want to start their business in agriculture can submit today applications for getting grants in advance. The Agency for Intervention and Payment for Agriculture (AIPA) today launched the second stage of applications, which will last until 14 November.
Advance payments will be granted on the basis of investment projects submitted by farmers who carry out for the first time an economic activity in the agricultural sector.
The total value of the project must not exceed one million lei. 65 percent of the project costs will be covered by the state, and another 35 percent will be invested by the author of the idea.
Under the program, projects aiming at the production of vegetables and fruits on protected land, the establishment of multiannual plantings, the technological renovation of livestock farms, the procurement of breeding animals, the development of post-harvest infrastructure and processing will be eligible.
For the implementation of the advance payments system for start-up projects, at least 5% will be allocated annually from the National Fund for Agriculture and Rural Development, and this year, this amount is 45 million lei.
