Chisinau, 18 September /MOLDPRES/- This year, over 1,100 pupils from 25 technical vocational education institutions chose to study in the dual system in Moldova. About 70 private companies and state institutions have provided places for training them. Data were provided by the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research.
Pupils devote 70% of the practical training to enterprise and 30% - theoretical training at the vocational school. Besides the scholarship, they receive a salary that is 2/3 of the minimum guaranteed wage in the real sector.
At the end of studies, lasting at most two years, the pupil gets a confirmation from the company that he is an experienced certified specialist.
According to the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research, in 2017-2018, about 50 companies concluded apprenticeship contracts with about 600 pupils, their number being only 100 in 2016-2017.
Dual education is implemented throughout the country starting with this year of study and provides that technical vocational institutions, schools, colleges and centers of excellence, based on a joint agreement with economic agents, can initiate the dual training system. Reform in this area is conducted with the support of the German International Cooperation Agency.
